HELP KEEP ME WITH MY FAMILY
Kelly Beriguete was born a healthy baby girl in 2010. This happy, healthy and energetic child became ill on December 25th 2014 at the age of 4 and was diagnosed with a medical condition called Mitochondrial DNA or Leigh’s disease.
Today, Kelly is 7 years old and lives at home with her mother and 3 other siblings. Her condition has progressed to the point where she is confined to her bedroom on the second floor and is unable to do anything for herself. She has lost all her motor skills, has respiratory complications (is connected to a ventilator), is fed through a gastrostomy tube (also called a G-tube); suffers from seizures and other complications from this terrible disease.
Kelly’s bedroom needs to be relocated to the first floor for reasons of safety, mobility and contact time with her family. At present Kelly does not have lifting assist systems or ADA sanitary facilities.
The cost is projected to be $85,000 and includes adding a first floor bedroom, bathroom and lifts designed to accommodate special needs equipment and activities.

Happy 2 Be Home is a 501(c) (3) non-profit created to provide funding/improvements to a family's home in order to make it suitable for their chronically ill child to remain in their home. Your contribution will go towards the cost of the project to keep Kelly at home.
