Save the happiest dog park on earth

Donation protected
I am pleading with everyone who has a pup, especially those of you in the Rhodesian Ridgeback community.
Here in San Diego we have a dog park at Fiesta Island that was dedicated as a dog park long ago since all public beaches banned dogs in all the prime hours leaving you to walk your dog on lead at the crack of dawn or at sunset. The city is moving forward with a plan that would divide the area with a road  and reduce off leash access. A group known as FIDO (Fiesta Island Dog Owners) Fiesta Island Dog Owners
formed to help stop this development.  I am a board member of this organization. This new city plan will impact the thousands of dogs, cyclists, walkers, runners and everyone one who enjoys the last little bit of undeveloped free space in a very crowded city. There is more detailed information as www.fidosd.org. “FIDO (Fiesta Island Dog Owners) is a non-profit organization under IRS Section 501(c)(3).  Contributions are fully tax-deductible, as permitted by law.  FIDO’s Federal Tax ID number is 37-1573055.”

My strengths are not political and detailed as far as all the legal aspects, my strength is my honesty and my love for my dogs and this small piece of paradise. Personally my dogs need to run in a large open safe area, otherwise I will lose my furniture, phone ,shoes etc. This place is so important for the mental and physical well being of our pups. Small dogs running with big dogs and dogs just being happy fun loving dogs.  I am begging all of you, the time has come for us to hire attorneys and take on some financial weight. We have been heard but we need to stand strong and not be dismissed as a group that does not matter. Anything will help,$5.00 $5,000.00 it is going to help save the best diamond in the rough in San Diego. Thousands of dogs will thank you for it!

More advice taken, here is some information that has been asked about our need for funding and what we are going to do with the funds.

"After being on hold for several years, the city is now going forward again with their development plans for Fiesta Island.FIDO reps, have been meeting with city planners in an effort to remove a road through the middle of the fenced area as well as an amphitheater, parking lots, fences and other things that will chop up our area and decrease our beach access. After meeting with Mayor Faulconer, he asked the planners to consider the FIDO alternative plan. So, after we met with Coastal Commission staff, we made some adjustments to our plan which are now being redrawn by a San Diego planning company- Mark Steele and Asso. This also requires more legal input and environmental experts who we have hired. These experts and attorneys bills can add up quickly which is why we are now, for the first time, doing a big donation plea."

It was also very kindly brought to my attention that upon making a donation, that is shows that the Beneficiary of this campaign: is Sandra Thompson-Nobile. Sandra a board member of FIDO and she takes care of all of our finances and tax status as a non-profit.

Thank you again!
