Hanson Family Fund (Fire Victims)

Our dear friends and family members, Eric and Brittany Hanson, have lost their home and their livelihood due to the Tubbs Fire. Eric and Brittany, their 3 children, and their service dog, Holly, escaped the blaze with the clothes on their back and what little they could grab as they were fleeing the fire in the early hours of the morning on October 9th. If it had not been for their friends Jennifer and Orlando calling them repeatedly to wake them up that night, this could have ended up with a very different and very tragic ending. Their rental home, which they only moved into 3 weeks ago, and all its contents are a total loss. Their neighborhood was completely destroyed. They do have renter’s insurance, but it will only cover about ¼ of their belongings.
In addition, Brittany and Eric are self-employed, with businesses that rely mostly on tourism. They’ve received 10 cancellations in the 48 hours since the fires began and expect many more as the fires continue to burn Sonoma and Napa Counties.

To make matters worse, their oldest child’s non-profit school for Autistic children also fell victim to the fire.

If you know Brittany and Eric like I do, they are giving individuals who always step in to volunteer and help in times of crisis. This time, they need our help. They need to secure permanent housing (which is at a premium right now as about over 3500 homes have been destroyed so far), to purchase the essentials for their children, and to cover day to day expenses while they begin to rebuild their lives, their businesses, and their income.

Please consider donating to help this family feel some semblance of normalcy while trying to come to terms with their devastating situation. Every little bit helps.

Also accepting donations of household items and clothing once they are in a new home. Contact sister and auntie Brooklin on facebook https://www.facebook.com/brhythm2 to donate items.
