Hanover Community Church

Donation protected
This fund is about preserving history while emerging into the future. Hanover Community Church was founded in the 1940's. The church is a worship and meeting place for the rural community. We, at Hanover Church, do not want to exclude any person from worship or community meetings, however, unintentionally this has become the case. When the church was built, steep stairs that led down to a basement where meetings, fellowships, and restrooms are located was acceptable.  We need your help. Our goal is to keep the original sanctuary while building a fellowship hall on ground level that would offer handicap accessible restrooms, room for a separate children's ministry, a nursery, access for the elderly and also being open to area associations for its use. The fellowship hall is used by/for local weddings, funerals, showers, The Hanover Community Western Days (featuring free horseback rides, Western Poetry, Native Indian dancing), The Kirk Hanna Community Park Association (the only park in this rural area), The Hanover Cemetery Association, Women's groups who meet to do crafts such as making quilts for fire victims and Tessa (victims assistance) etc. and other uses. Help us preserve our history while progressing into the future and offer a taste of the "rural" way of life. Thank you for your time in reading this and your help in reaching our goal.
