Hannah's Healing Community Wellness

If you don't ask, the answer will always be NO.  I am April Hannah, a local mental health therapist and wellness practitioner in Saratoga Springs, NY.  An opportunity that I could not turn down was placed in my lap a few weeks ago.  Studio space down the hall from my current office is available to lease, and it has always been a dream of mind to open a wellness center.  This space is perfect for the groups I am currently running and have always wanted to run but didn't have enough space.  The opportunity did not come at the time when I had extra money in my bank account to buy supplies, but instead of putting my dream on hold, I have decided to ask for help and try to raise the money to purchase the supplies I need to get the studio up and running.  I am raising money to purchase the following for the 900 sq ft wellness studio I will be leasing in September 2016:

-yoga mats, and yoga accessories, 20 of each to accomodate classes of 20 people (blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps) $1,137.00 priced on yoga accessories.
-20 meditation pillows  $499.00 priced on yoga accessories
-2 , 4 ft teared storage rack for yoga supplies $114.00 priced on Amazon
-10 sound cancelling headphones and 10 portable cd players for Hemisync and binaural beat healing sessions $390.00 priced on Amazon
-5 light weight massage tables for community reiki and healing circles, ($199 each x 5 $995.00) priced on massage wearhouse
-20 folding  fabric chairs, for support groups and classroom workshops (5 sets of 4, $694) priced on Walmart
-6 6ft folding  tables to run DIY essential oil classes,  $180.00 priced on Amazon
-1 42 inch flat screen TV, and DVD player to show inspiring documentaries about healing ($250-$350)
-1 Vizio sound bar and surround sound $248.00 priced on Walmart.com
-3 gallons of paint of Silver Mist Benjamin Moore and painting supplies to create a nice relaxing envirnoment $200 ($37.99 a gallon + brushes and supplies)

I am hoping to create a community atmosphere of giving back and paying it forward with this campaign. My goal in running this new wellness studio is to  offer afforable classes related to all things wellness to my local community.  I am also hoping to help new teachers, practitoners and students who are just starting out to build their business by offering free sessions to the community on Sunday's.  Setting up this campagin was a bit of a challenge to my ego.  It can be hard for us to ask for help sometimes, to release our ego and our martyr attitude of thinking we can do it all on our own.  Asking for help has always been a chanllege for me but through my spiritual journey I have come to believe that humans are very giving and want to see others succeed. I am hoping to be a role model to my clients and inspire them to follow their dreams and to believe that we live in an abundant world and that is it ok to ask for help from our fellow friends, family and community.  You will see from this campagin that I am not directly benefitting from the financial proceeds as all things purchased go directly to the wellness studio in order for classess to run successfully.

 It is my lifes mission to help people find their spirutal path and to heal along the way.  I have been  working in the mental health field since 1995. I know I will be doing this work until it is time for me to exit the physical plane and while I am here,  I have been told by all of my spirtual teachers that the world is filled with abudance, ask and you shall recieve so I am putting this to the test!  I also believe that your donation is a way for you to give someone a healing experience as it will be the community who will be benefitting from the items that will be purchased.  The opportunity to rent this space has come at a perfect time and I would hate to have to pass this opportunity up because I did not have the funds to buy all the materials necessary to run a wellness studio.
