Hannah's New Career Adventure
My wonderful daughter, Hannah, has always had a dream of working in conservation. She saw the world, what we've been doing to it, and knew that she had to do something to help save this little blue planet of ours.
She's finally stepping out in search of that goal. She's been accepted to a program out in Washington state, working for AmeriCorps, where she'll be part of a small team of young people working in national parks, helping to restore and preserve those environments for all of us to enjoy.
She has a short timeframe to work in, as she's due to start on April 17th of this year. I will be driving out with her to help her get settled in and started.
To that end, she needs a little help getting some work done on her car so that it not only survives the trip, but will take her forward on her adventure in the Great Northwest.
Her car needs about $2000 in maintenance to keep it working in top order for her. Of those repairs, $1000 of it is critical.
She also has some important equipment to purchase for the trip that she doesn't currently have. This includes some basic clothing for colder climes, work gear, camping gear, etc. Additionally, she has some moving expenses as she's rushing to move out of her apartment, close up shop here and move on to her new life! I estimated about $1000 for equipment, moving and travel expenses.
Please help Hannah realize her dream... this is the fist step!
