Hanna Darden IBC Medical Fund
November 1, 2011 Hanna Darden was diagnosed with Stage IV Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Hanna has been in treatment locally and in cooperation with MD Anderson's Morgan Welch Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Clinic. We learned this last week that it has spread to her brain and she is needing to travel to Houston this next week for immediate brain surgery and then to begin brain raditation treatment.

Hanna Celebrated her 29th Birthday!!!
Such a Blessing! Wishes for many many more :)
I have been trying to get all of the pages caught up. There is also a Facebook page called Support Hanna Darden, that is up dated more frequently.
First and for most, I AM STILL HERE! Praise the LORD! :)
I am not only surviving but I am thriving, and living everyday :)
Let me try to catch you all up on what has been going on.
At the end of last year, My Dr at MD Anderson decided to send me a radiation oncologist, since we did not get the response we wanted from TDM1 aka Kadcyla.
I underwent 6 weeks of radiation, staying M-F in Houston and going home for the the weekends and also got to spend Christmas as home. I finished treatment in late January. After scans we learned that the treatment area had improved, my skin mets appeared outside of the area and I had 2 lesions in my brain. After a successful Gamma Knife procedure, I began and continue to participate in a Phase 1 trail.
Blake and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on July 14, and Hunter starts Kindergarden in a few weeks. Time flys! Addison will be for 4 in November! Hard to believe this has all been going on for almost 3 years!
This summer, I have been fitting a lot of family time between treatments. I actually got a little break from treatment ( to get a root canal :-/ LOL) but I still enjoyed the extra time at home.
I am back at MD Anderson getting treatment, and all of my scans came back Stable! :) thank you Jesus! Praying for improvement as this treatment continues.
I want to thank you all so much for your; prayer, love, support, kind words and thoughts. I am so blessed! Love y'all
I know we've never met but I feel so connected to you through our journey. I love you, but God loves you more and I'm praying for a miracle.
Any friend of the Farmer family is a friend of mine. I wish I could help more. I have two family members being treated for the hated cancer at MDAnderson in Houston and they are doing extremely well. Best of luck to you.
Best wishes on your treatments. We will be praying for you and your family. All things are possible with God.
