Hank Harmon Music Scholarship
Hank began guitar lessons with Darin, the owner of VMI, when he was nine years old. Hank has always admired Darin and was in awe of the way he can bring music alive. Hank considered Darin a mentor for his music, but also a friend who has an exceptional ability for uncovering musicial talent in just about everyone.
Hank shared his passion for music with his children, who now rock at VMI. His daughter, Audrey plays drums, his son Cash plays guitar and son Tommy plays the bass. Hank also participated in the program as the lead singer, guitarist and keyboardist in the Kristie Morris Project. He would love other children and families to have music brought into their lives with the help of Darin's program. At VMI, they take musicians (beginning to advanced, ages 6 to 60), group them into bands (based on compatibility), and rehearse, record, make videos, and play at awesome venues like The Gallo Center!
