handiCAPABLE Guide Service, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) public charity providing outdoor recreational opportunities to those presented with physical challenges and/or developmental delays. We are dedicated to educating and rehabilitating through recreation.
ALL donations to our charity are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
We provide the developmentally delayed and physically challenged youth and adults in Kentucky and surrounding states the opportunity to experience the thrills and challenges of boating, fishing, and other forms of outdoor recreation. For the last several years, we have also been participating in the Paralyzed Veterans (PVA) Bass Tournament Tour.
We have a wheelchair accessible boat with a drop-down bow to provide our clients easy access to the water for fishing and boating. We have adaptive fishing equipment to use, varying in design to fit our client's ABILITIES.
We operate with an ENTIRELY VOLUNTEER STAFF and MANAGEMENT and operate on DONATIONS.
One of our founders, over the last 20+ years has worn out several of his personal trucks providing a tow vehicle for our boat. We are in desperate need to obtain adequate funding to purchase a truck capable of pulling our >5300# boat, provide funds for travel expenses, make boat repairs and upgrades, and build additional adaptive equipment. ALL donations to our charity are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.

We recently returned from Potosi, Missouri. The VA hospital at Jeffersons Barracks (St. Louis) rented out a portion of the Trout Lodge at the YMCA camp. We provided adaptive fishing and support for the weekend where many disabled veterans enjoyed a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities.
