A Hand For Jaime

Many of you may have come here because you're acquinted with Jaime, better known as DarkPsydeLord. He's a compassionate and fun-loving gentleman from Mexico, with a dream to become a computer programmer.
Jaime vanished from everyone's "radar" a few months back, which naturally had everyone that knows and loves him concerned. Because we are friends and co-workers on an open source project, he had my email, and thus he finally made contact. Here's a piece of his letter, describing the past few months:

...everything started a few weeks ago when i was complaining about the floods that were happening at the time because of the very first hurricane in the season, which flooded my house but i rescued my computer, the rain was so loud and unpleasant i never thought it was possible to rain so hard that you were barely able to communicate with another person using your voice, well this happened once and i was trying to resume my duties when a second hurricane came and took my newest house fixes and some furniture hahaha it was outrageous but what could possibly go wrong after that isn't it?
Well it never occurred to me that a 3rd hurricane will strike us and in the meanwhile an earthquake will shake our safe sensations and tear everything apart, but hey at least our house was on its feet and it was usable, well yes but, after 2 days without rain or earthquake replicas somebody broke into my house and took every electronic device he or she could fit inside a backpack actually took my backpacks to clean my house from devices but they leave the tv on the same spot and i had my nintendo switch with me at the time so life wasn't that bad at all... time for a fresh start.
4th hurricane came, more floods and the impossibility to go to work soon arrived and i was unemployed and sand sitting on my house with nothing to do but play nintendo and no money to start my so-called "fresh start", also there's no phone, tablet, computer, watches or ereader available at home since they took em all well at least is for a few days untill i can reach my work again...
Finally, after total madness, i can go to work i need money right away since im kind of starving when a second earthquake stroke but not in my location, poor people hundreds of deaths, i felt deep inside my heart this could happen to us since it happened a week before, well i was right september 19 was my meeting with the destiny, my destiny.
big earthquake... everything was a living hell, everything fell apart and with the buildings also fell my hearth, the rest of my hope and my moral, my brain collapsed i wasn't sure why this was happening to us why i had to pass through so much pain, anxiety and fear.
work is off again... oh! did i mention the 5th hurricane is here? this is just great...
you know what I'm sick and tired of having hope this will change one day by itself its time to use my own hands to rebuild the future...
[I want to] make people feel better, conforted and that no matter how hard life hits you theres always a chance to stand your ground.

Here, after everything, Jaime is still thinking about others. With his remaining budget, after getting a cheap cell phone for work, he wants to use his time and money to help others. Because is a Mexican army veteran, he was able to start volunteering (as pictured).
Jaime believes he will have to wait a long time to save up for many of his needs - including a new laptop, which is hard to go without when you want to be an open source developer. Since he thinks so much about others, let's help him!
We want to raise $1000 USD (~18000 MXN) to give Jaime the fresh start he deserves! He can use this money to help repair his house, replace some of his stolen belongings, rebuild his life, and (knowing him), helping those around him. We will transfer the entire money raised to Jaime.
