Hackney Half for The Oli Hilsdon Foundation

Donation protected

At the beginning of this year, my dear friend Oli Hilsdon passed away from his battle against Glioblastoma Multiforme. Oli was just 10 days away from his 27th birthday and a few months married to his beautiful wife Gigi.

Brain cancer and Glioblastoma Multiforme is incredibly aggressive and grossly underfunded, receiving just 1% of the National spend despite it killing more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer.

Myself, Oli's friends and family would agree that he was better than most human beings. It's devastated so many that Oli lost his fight.

The Oli Hilsdon Foundation has been set up by his wife, sister, sister in law and university friends to ensure that awareness is raised and the national spend increased to ensure that others are spared of the same devastation.

Oli loved running and was very very good at it too. I always laugh that he made me walk everywhere, whether it was home from the pub, a friends house or further.

I love running now too, all because of him.
