Haiti180 2018!

Donation protected

Up the coastline and past the mountains, three hours west of Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, lies Kay Mari, an orphanage where children of all ages and their dedicated caretakers call home. Each year we gather a group of passionate individuals, some who have been traveling to Haiti for years and others who are visiting a third-world country for the first time, and we head to Kay Mari, determined to help the residents of the orphanage and of the surrounding village.

We’re excited to announce we’re headed back to Haiti in early November, but we need your help to get there!

Each year we’re assigned various manual labor projects and are asked to bring a list of material donations. In years past, we’ve helped with the construction of the children’s school and their teachers’ housing, dug wells so the people of the village have easier access to water, and aided in the completion of their medical clinic. We’ve brought along dozens of suitcases full of shoes, protein bars, cold medicine, and any other supplies requested, the majority of which we deliver to the people of the village. While our tasks often vary, the mission always stays the same: create a self-sustaining, loving and educational environment for the children of Kay Mari, so they may one day grow to be the leaders of Haiti.

That mission is at the core of Haiti180, the organization responsible for the creation of the Kay Mari Children’s Home, the Immaculate Conception School, the Kay Martina Elderly Home, and the Saint Mother Teresa Medical Clinic. First founded in 2002, Haiti180 brings missionaries to Haiti throughout the year who all work toward this same goal.

The endless support of our generous donors is what makes continuing this journey possible. Every donation, both large and small, will make so much more of a difference than you know. And if you’re unable to donate, please share this page with your friends and family, as it could be just as helpful.
