Haiti Dance Ministry

For me, this has come to mean using dance, the gift that God has given me, as my ministry tool in Haiti. In September, I will head to Haiti to serve with Northwest Haiti Chrisitan Mission for six months. My ministry focus during this time will be to use dance as my avenue to share the love of Christ with individuals in the community of Mole St. Nicolas!
The missionaries at the Mole campus of NWHCM have been tremendously generous and have given me a space that I will be able to transform into a dance studio on the mission's campus! My hope is to replicate what the dance studio has always been for me - a place where I am safe, loved, and where I pour energy into something that brings me great joy - for individuals in the community! This dance studio will be used as the practice space for two dance groups that are already organized and have been meeting for weekly practices! Additionally, my hope is to invite young girls as well as adult women for classes in the dance studio, where they can feel beautiful and explore the strength and potential of the bodies that God has given them! My ultimate hope in all of this is to build community, bring joy, and extend the love that Christ has showered onto me.
The purpose for my fundraising is to kickstart this program and supply the studio space with the materials for it to feel somewhat like a dance studio. Some of the items that I will be hoping to purchase are mirrors for the walls, speakers, portable ballet barres, water bottles, uniforms for the performance groups, fans, funding for food, and some decorative items for the practice space!
God is continuing to teach me that I can do NONE of this on my own, so this is me inviting YOU to support this dance ministry prayerfully and/or financially. Thanks for reading this:) Updates to come!!
