Haiti Bound!

Hello friends and family!  As you know, I am currently on sabbatical after 22 years of teaching 3rd grade in the Slippery Rock Area School District.  To fullfill my requirements, I am completing 18 credits of continuing education via online courses.  Yet, to fulfill my personal goals during this hiatus from teaching, I feel called to offer my "gifts" by going on a mission trip to Haiti, a country that has been ravaged by earthquakes and hurricanes.   I will be involved in rebuilding homes as well as offering comfort, love, and helping hands to
 children in orphanages and schools.  I am scheduled for a trip from February 18-26.  Here's the link if you'd like to know more:

I am hoping to raise funds to help with airfare ($900), and accomodations ($1,550), as well as to purchase educational supplies to bring to the children (crayons, coloring books, children's books, games, etc.).  I would like to use whatever remaining funds that are collected for the kids.  I am grateful for any assistance that you can offer.  Trust that I will put my heart and soul into this endeavor and will carry your love with me as I hope to "make a difference" as schmoltzy as that may sound.
