About 80,000 people have been told to evacuate their homes as wildfires swept into Israel's third largest city of Haifa last week. Huge flames roared between apartment blocks as residents fled, some lost their homes in the flames and are now forced to seek shelter. The schools, kindergartens, universities, municipal building as well the geriatric hospital were all evacuated. With as many as 130 people suffering from injuries and displacement caused by the fire, Haifa continues to suffer the devastation of these wildfires......
Amongst the many losses, located in the center of Hafia is Prahim Daycare, a place that once served as a source of comfort, learning and joy for many children, now stands secluded, badly burnt and in dire need of funds to restore it back to operation.
Anteby Yehuda, one of the teachers at the school reports that about forty children varying in age between three to six years old are without care, preventing their parents from returning to work as well as in reestablishing their community. Please help us raise funds for rebuilding efforts, furnishings and supplies for this small but very important organization for children. The teachers, parents and the children are very excited about collaborating with generous individuals like yourself to bring back the smiles to families of Haifa in their time of need.
