"Black Reishi" Co-Op Buy

There are several of us in the field of professional and citizen mycology who have been trying to find verified culture of the various "Black" species of the Ganoderma genus. Well, we have found two strains each of Ganoderma neo-japonicum (VZ, and 0813) and Ganoderma formosanum (BZ, and 0109). These cultures are $354 each (+ shipping), so we are trying to get at least one strain of each species to share with our community. Feel free to donate any amount you'd like to, but we will only be supplying culture to contributors who order a $30 "share". One share equals one slant of culture ($300+ retail value). We need a minimum of $420 (14 shares) per strain to cover culture, materials, preparation, and shipping costs of slants to each contributing party. If we receive enough contributions we will purchase all four strains ($1680, or 56 shares), otherwise contributors will only be able to receive the strains we are able to afford. If you want more slants, one "share" equals one slant. If you contribute enough for multiple shares and we do not make enough to buy multiple strains, you will receive multiple slants of the same strain.
This is finally our chance to get live culture of these beautiful Ganoderma species. They are said to be less bitter than other species. They also would make gorgeous additions to artistically grafted "Bonsai Reishi trees".
Update: Aloha Medicinals has agreed to purchase all four strains for us from ATCC, so we won't have to worry about their licensing issues. These cultures will be able to shared within the community without issue. We will be Co-Op buying from Aloha to cover the costs of the culture purchase from ATCC, so as we reah the goal for each strain we will be able to start getting culture slants out to contributors.
Update: All four strains have been ordered for us by Aloha Medicinals today. You can now choose which strain you'd like for each of you $30 "shares". Buy one strain slant, multiple strains, or multiple slants of individual strains. Either way, these cultures are all available here for 8.5% of their original cost. How can any serious mycophile turn down a 91.5%-off sale of these rare and beautifully elusive Ganoderma species? Be the first in your group of myco-friends to be able to brag about having cultures they don't, or use them to offer a less bitter choice of Reishi medicine to family, friends, and customers. This will not effect orders already placed. Make sure to mention which strain/s you are pre-ordering .
