Rick's Cancer Tx Support Fund
This is my second born son, Rick James Franklin, age 26... Yes his name is really "Rick James" and he is a Musician/Sound Audio Engineer. We did not know he was going to grow up and play a guitar, rock music and become quite the Entertainer when we named him... LOL. Rick graduated this past AUG 2014 from Sound Audio Engineering Institue-Nashville as the Class Valedictorian. Sadly, it turned out to be the "Happiest Sad Day" and "Best Worst Nights" of his young life. It was in the midst of our being overjoyed at Graduation night in downtown Nashville, TN that Rick received an urgent text, phone call and Email from his attending Physician at TRISTAR Medical Center requesting that he pressent to the ER immediately. Given such an alarming request, we complied only to find out that Rick had a serious and life-threatening form of Cancer that required immediate and aggressive treatment if he had any chance of surviving. He was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal Large B Cell Lymphoma of the chest wall that had begun to cause life-threatening degradations of vital organs in his upper chest wall. He began immediate Chemo Therapy and will be followed post Chemo with Radiation Treatment. He is very sick presently and it goes without saying that on the brink of realizing his dream as a Musician, Song Writer, Entertainer and Sound Audio Engineer, he was devastated by Cancer that in an instant took away everything... all that he had worked so long and hard for. He is now unemployed being to sick to hold a job with the ongoing CHEMO. Having no means to provide for himself, he is now living at home with us, his parents, drowning in debt from the Cancer Treatment and medical costs and very sick given the aggressive and severe Chemo that he is undergoing. He is in dire need of financial support from those that can appreciate what it is like to have one's entire life devastated in an instant by the Demon, Cancer.... His Oncologist at the Sara Cannon Cancer and Research Center is hopeful that Rick may be able to fight this serious threat to his life and return to some semblance of a quality of life, but there is also the likelyhood that this serious assualt on such a vital region of his body could be a "Bridge To Far" and he could be leaving us tragically at such a young age. We are going to hold out hope that he may BEAT THIS illness, but he needs your thoughts, prayers and financial support in an effort to keep the medical costs of such a long-term battle from desroying him financially. He is an amazing and creative person and we desparately need him in our world as he has so much to offer so many. Please give what you can to help him survive his life-threatening battle with Cancer. Your compassion, careing and concern will give him the strength to fight on emotionally, phyisically, financially and spriitually. God Bless you for taking notice of Rick's Life Story and the tragic life and death struggle he is now facing. L:ove Always, LTC(R) Tony R. Franklin, Ph.D., U.S. Army Disabled Veteran.... "NSDQ!"

We are at the Centennial Medical Center Woman's Health and Imaging Center in Nashville, TN... Where they rule in or out Breast Cancer.... Kind of upped our stress level seeing Breast Cancer Awareness "Finish the Fight" T-Shirts... Rick has an Ultrasound and then The Biopsy...! The receptionist said we will hopefully know what Rick is now facing before we leave today around 11:00 AM as the Radiologist will discuss his findings... Going to be awhile, but at least there will be no nervous, stressful 10 day wait like we had with his cancer biopsy last August...! More to follow...! We are worried, but hopeful given all the prayers and support has received from so many... God Bless you all....
P.S. Pray for a cure for Cancer... Support the fight for Breast Cancer... Let's Cure this Demon Disease that has taken so many of our loved ones far to soon... "Let's Just Do It...!"
