Matthew's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Matthew, and I am a Life Scout with Boy Scouts of America Troop 642 North Seal Beach-Rossmoor.
I am working on my Eagle Scout Project and May 6, 2018, I will be cooking and selling Navajo Fry Bread with the help of my Troop 642 Indian Lore Merit Badge Counselor and Godmother, Gloria Littlemouse, at the Rossmoor Spring Festival to raise money to purchase 100 soccer balls to personally take to the Villas of Argentina this Summer 2018.
This is an International Project. These are special soccer balls that do not require inflation and do not deflate. Made for third world countries. The poor children in the Villas will not have to worry about these balls going flat. My goal is to raise $2000 for 100 balls, if you would like to purchase just one ball the cost is $20 plus shipping to Argentina. I know many friends and family are out of state and this is why I began this gofundme page.
My father, Richard, has always encouraged me to be a Leader and help those that are less fortunate. I believe achieving Eagle Scout will help me reach that goal and be successful.
My dream is to be accepted into the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and become an Aviator. I am the Founder and the President of the Aviation Club at my High School. I am a member of Young Eagles and Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 7. I have completed enough flying time hours to solo for a single engine aircraft. I have volunteered over 80 hours with the Young Eagles and other community projects.
I am in my second year of honors Spanish which helps me communicate with the Scouts of Argentina to help plan distribution of the balls to the children; which, will offer them an opportunity to participate in organized sports that they would otherwise not have a chance to play.
