Johns Hopkins Medical Program

Donation protected
In 2014 I injured my right knee. I still had hope that I could be a dancer. In 2015 I injured my left knee and I knew something was not right. My left knee kept dislocating and I had to undergo surgery. I had an MPFL reconstruction in Dec. 2015. I started to get interested in the medical field after that procedure. I joined the medical program at my high school. I was afraid to dance so I joined the tennis team. I was in a lot of pain, my doctor recommended me to a knee specialist in 2017. My love for medicine grew and grew. I underwent 2 more procedures, another one on my left and one on my right. I loved medicine and I wanted to attend a program that would enhance my knowledge and skills. I applied and I got accepted to Johns Hopkins Discover Hopkins Medical School Intesive Program. The program lets the students work in JHU stimulation lab, as well as, take blood and read it. In addition, the students will learn how to read a urine test, work a real case, learn CPR, go to read hospitals, and so much more. The program is very expensive and I need to raise some money to afford it. I am very passionate for medicine. I want to be a surgeon when I grow up. I, in addition, would love to do medical research in college and create a minimally invasive procedure for patients with patellar instability. This program is an opportunity of a life time and I do not want to miss out on it. Please help by donating :)
