As most of you will have heard, there are a few devastating fires raging through California, again, and this time, the fire known as the "Camp Fire" has claimed the home of our two nieces, Bella and Hailey, nephew, Eli, their Mom, Chelsea, and her partner, David. The fire, having started and spread with such ferocity and speed, meant that they had to evacuate, with the clothes on their backs, and a backpack with items they could grab quickly... the kids, of course, grabbed their halloween candy.
The most important thing is that they were able to make it out, and the kids are now with my Mom, in Reno, NV, but, process of getting back on their feet will be a long one, as there is nothing left of their entire town. I know this is a very expensive time of year, but if anyone is thinking of giving to a family in need this Christmas, I know that Chelsea, David, my brother Cameron, and the kids, would be ever so grateful. Any amount, no matter how small, would be wonderful.
