Free Guitar Workshops for Children

Guitar Lessons by Jess is a program that provides free music education.  My workshop ended in April and my goal is to continue this program throughout the year in 2018. The funds will go towards rental fees for the facility, insurance and teacher expenses.  If I meet this goal, this would fund six months of free music education for two hours every Saturday in Oak Cliff. 

Guitar Lessons by Jess has provided  56hours of free music education for 25 students on the weekend during June and July of 2017 to children 7-18 years of age in South Dallas, and its surrounding communities.  During February, March and April 2018, I was able to provide approxiamtely 44 hours of free music education in Oak Cliff.  I was able to successfully complete these workshops with the help of partnering with the City of Dallas’ Office of Cultural Affairs as a recipient of the 16-17 Special Projects Grant and raising funds.
