Feeding Program Christmas Campaign - The Divine Mercy Tarlac Mission
Last year my mom and I went to visit Fr Nic Rodriguez at the Divine Mercy Shrine in Tarlac City Philippines. We met children from the poorest neighbourhoods. They are often without food and basic needs.
Every Saturday the feeding program offers meals for 150-200 poor children from 5-9 years old. Volunteer Youth Leaders go to the neighbourhoods to pick up the children and bring them to the Divine Mercy shrine.
The kids get a chance to play in the mini playground. Then the delicious banquet begins. For lunch each child gets a full meal which includes food like spaghetti with tomato sauce and chicken and juice. They also get chocolate and candies for dessert.
On this day the kids get to eat to their hearts' content. They don't have to worry about an empty stomach or hunger pains. Instead you see them laughing with full tummies and beaming with joy.

About Divine Mercy Tarlac Mission
Fr Nic Rodriguez is a Divine Mercy Catholic priest from the Diocese of Tarlac in the Philippines. He is in charge of the Divine Mercy Tarlac Mission.
Fr Nic promotes the Divine Mercy devotion and spirituality of Mercy throughout the diocese. Fr Nic runs an Outreach and Feeding Program for poor children and families in need.           
In thanksgiving for the love and kindness shown to these children, Fr Rodriguez will be offering Holy Masses and prayers for all supporters.
