Gifts of Gratitude
Donation protected
With Thanksgiving and the holiday season just around the corner, we stop and give thanks for the things and people we have in our lives. Unfortunately, on many military bases, the holidays are just another
day while deployed overseas. Gifts of Gratitude project would like to put smiles on the faces of the men and women who are currently deployed in Afghanistan operating on a small isolated remote base. Due to the location and size of the base, the soldiers only receive limited supplies once a month. With the help of the Community Church of East Williston, along with the help of other local, neighboring
organizations, we are collecting items to send to this base. Though Christmas is still a month away, we have collected items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, paper, pencils etc. to send to the military. We now need to start collecting money in order to cover the shipping charges from the United States Post Office. Our hope is to send out the care packages by the first of December. Thank you for your generosity, our soldiers appreciate it!
