GSBA Ireland and Northern Team
Donation protected
I am raising money for the GSBA Ireland and Northern Ireland Team. We are an inter-organisational, cross-cultural organisation that is trying to bring all cultures and groups together through the love of martial arts. Our ethos is to ‘celebrate and protect our cultural and individual diversity by acknowledging what is common and embracing what is different’.
We are a cross community martial arts organisation who wants to provide a community where everyone’s cultural identity is encouraged, rather than sanitised in fear of offending others. Therefore we are teaching children in our organisation to be proud of their own cultural identity while at the same time embrace others who are different. Our main vehicle in delivering this is through a shared passion for martial arts. We are trying to fund a combined Ireland and Northern Ireland team to compete at national and World level where everyone can come together under one banner and compete as a team. Each member will decide which flag they are draped in and which anthem is played if they are on the podium and the whole team stand in support of their team member. Our first national competition is the British champion on the 11th November whish this money would greatly help with as well as equipment for training and outreach to encourage other organisations and community groups to get involved with our project. PLEASE HELP US MAKE A POSSITIVE CHANGE AND MAKE OUR COUNTRY PROUD!
We have already achieved
1 World Champion (age 7)
1 World Silver medalist (age 8)
1 British Champion (age 7)
1 British silver (age 7)
1 World Female Silver
1 World Female Bronze
