For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a Mom. Just as little girls imagine their weddings, I imagined a house full of little voices giggling, tiny feet pitter-pattering, funny faces trying mashed sweet potatoes for the first time and hugs from little arms.
When I found my happily ever after and married Shawn in May of 2014, we knew we wanted to start a family right away. We have so much love to give a child and couldn't wait!
Unfortunately, God has not blessed us with a baby yet and our family is still incomplete. We have had two tough years of trying multiple types of fertility treatments at great emotional cost to both Shawn and me.
We are now ready to adopt and hopefully grow our family. As you may guess, adoption is an expensive process and an expense that we're not completely prepared for. So, we're raising this money to fill the gap between what we have available for adoption and what we expect to be able to raise over the next few months. In total, we expect that the adoption will cost us $30,000. We know times are hard for everyone so no gift is too small, anything you can share will be greatly appreciated!
We'll use any funds raised to pay for the program fee, placement fee and other expenses we expect as part of this process. We anticipate these expenses coming up over the next 6 months.
By helping us, you will help us realize our dream of starting our family and raising children in a house of unconditional love. We're both really excited to become parents and your help in getting over this hurdle means a lot to us!
