£86,750 of £100,000 goal

Raised by 2,189 people in 14 months

21178836_1497684690.0546_funddescriptionThere has been a major fire within the local community impacting a range of faiths, families of all ages and in an area that summarises the beauty/diversity of London.
There will be a need for funds once facts are established and the community deal with what has occurred on such a tragic day.
In a climate when postcodes are sometimes used to separate inner city communities, it's essential we come together all across the UK to show cohesion and solidarity.

As a local councillor for Queens Park Community Council it is imperative that we support our neighbours in a time of need. It is unquestionable within the community of Queens Park every resident will know someone impacted physically or psychologically.
Let's demonstrate our solidarity and show how GREAT Britain can really be!

Hi Guys,

What a year or so we have had since the events on 14th June 2017. As I bring this campaign to a close I just wanted to THANK YOU all again for your support.
Donations (after GFM deductions) were divided by 109 (number of flats from Grenfell Tower with a survivor) and deposited equally to each household.

I continue to fundraise for the Grenfell community working alongside the FA WNL, dedicating their annual charity game to local charities.

Feel free to support or pop down on 12th August, there are some fantastic names on show!

I'll be facilitating the funds from the campaign outside of GoFundMe, aiming to use verification (not exclusively) from groups such as Grenfell United, One Voice Collective, The Real Community, The Rugby Portobello Trust (RPT) and The National Zakat Foundation.
Funds will be distributed via a bank transfer and residents will be notified via email/text/use of key-workers/resident groups. I will also reach out to other organizations/community volunteers known to be connected with survivors who may not be on the current RPT funds distribution list.

Dear Donors,

Apologies for the delay in information updates, as well as fundraising I have been busy on the ground volunteering. It has taken a lot longer than envisaged to distribute funds, however due to a high number of fraudulent claims security checks had been heightened.

Two key aspects I needed to seek authorisation with are now being finalised, allowing donations to finally be distributed:
1) Exemption from impacting benefits, as a crowd funder I didn’t have the same rights as a charity organisation (letter attached)
2) Confirmation of resident status (official checks with statutory organisations/data protection – utilising Rugby Portobello Trust data collation)

Therefore I have attained the highest authorisation that funds can now be distributed as planned from John Maton (Head of Charitable Status - Legal) and
David Holdsworth (Chief Operating Officer & Registrar).

I have been in direct contact with survivors this week and their accounts of the impact over the past fortnight is unimaginable!
We have a long road ahead of us, I'm ready to continue this journey ✨
