We, Kevin & Marsha Hartfield and David & Kimberly Albritton, are very good friends and neighbors of Greg, Stephanie & GJ Kenney. On September 6, GJ and his dad were running the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Just short of the finish line, GJ (who is only 17 years old) went into cardiac arrest and sustained a traumatic brain injury due to lack of oxygen to his brain.  GJ has received excellent medical care at three hospitals and is now at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. Medical expenses are mounting. Thus far, the family has received a bill from one hospital totaling $95,000. If you know Stephanie & Greg, they are always giving and never ask for anything. Please give generously, as we anticipate more medical insurance red tape, expensive co-pays, and medical coverage gaps on GJ's long road to full recovery.
