ECSA is the Eastern Suburbs Cultural Association. Our first facility has taken place at waterloo 4/50 McEvoy St. as the Green Square Centre (GSC) for Masjid and Community Centre.
Our vision at GSC is to deliver first class equipment and facilities with beneficial education and programs from well respected Mashayakh and scholars to the community around the area.
This property will be the base for unifiying the community and development of the first community and youth centre of its kind in the Eastern Suburbs.
The centre inshaAllah designated to be a place to serve all members of the community providing a prayer area for the 5 salawat and Jumua, classrooms, cafe and many more.
We are quite young since our establishment and we have a long journey to have full benefits of the facility towards the community. We however have made significant progresses in our development. We have passed different stages of our milestones from renting the facility, renovation and initiation of some routine activites (please check our facebook page for more activites).
We are now in the stage of renovating the wudhu area and cafe. We ask everyone in the community to contribute to the success of the development of our facility. We are aiming of AUD50,000 for our first online fund raising to help continue the work of renovating the wudhu and cafe area and also to support the rent cost.
We are aiming to self-sustain the cost when all facilities are ready and able to generate own income to support activities in our community (i.e. Halal Community Cafe).
