GreekFires:15 Families in Most Need
Donation protected
The ravaging fires in Mati, Greece on July 23rd, 2018, took the lives of 99 people, burned more than 1500 homes and businesses and thousands of hectares of land leaving many people homeless and destitute in an already economically challenged time in Greece.
While local and international aide addressed the initial emergency needs of fire victims, the real challenges begin for survivors, many of them unemployed or burn victims in the hospital, as winter approaches and life resumes.
The non-profit organization, EIMAI-Center for Emerging Young Leaders (EIN#47-1716703) has identified the 15 neediest families that lost everything during the fire, through the local non-profit, INTERMEDIATE-Topiki Synergasia.
Your donation will support these adults, elderly and children to secure the costs of housing, utilities, food, medicine, nurses, school needs, etc.. as these already vulnerable people struggle to restore their sustenance that was wiped out in a flash during that fatal day.
We cant change the unexpected tragedy that impacted their life, but we can give them hope and compassion by supporting their needs until they are able to find the means to stabilize their future.
