"HUTS supports adults with mental health concerns or learning difficulties by providing a fantastic, well-equipped craft workshop. Our members can boost their life-skills and confidence. They often tell us that our up-beat, welcoming atmosphere has helped them develop and make new friends. Through support and social interaction, members are given space in a nurturing environment to gain confidence and develop skills to assist them in the wider community. We are open to adults living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and North Pembrokeshire. We work in partnership with Hywel Dda Local University Health Board and other statutory and voluntary organisations. We are completely accessible for those with mobility problems."
On 19th May 2019 I will be walking up Mount Dikaos, to the highest point on the island of Kos. I have always wanted to do this, but the pain of arthritis prevented me. Since having both hips replaced in September 2018 I now feel ready for this challenge, and hope to raise funds for this great charity in West Wales https://www.hutsworkshop.org/
