Thousands of vulnerable people who have had to flee their country are currently stuck in Moria - a refugee camp on the island of Lesvos.
The asylum process is long and there is a shortage of staff & volunteers.
We decided to return to the island this fall during the craziness of camp. There has been a huge influx of boats arriving, and many unnaccompanied minors.
For my 3rd trip you guys helped me raise $700 - Which helped cover a lot of the costs.
This will be my fourth time working in the camp but I intend to have a different focus on this particular trip.
Outside of the day to day work to assist in the camps general operations, I plan to do translation, teach english, and collaborate with Greek tourism contacts to spread awareness on the conditions and reality of the islands economy and the refugee crisis as well as look into what specific projects or supplies we could sponsor financially from home.
I am currently working full time for the next month to be able to afford the trip, but this is an invitation to just walk along side with me.
