Greetings family, friends, and well-wishers.
My name is Anthony and I come from a fishing community in Ghana where less than 3% of the population pursue higher education due to finances. Through hard work and determination, I received an admission from Berea College with full tuition scholarship for my undergraduate. After college, I went ahead to apply the skills and knowledge I gained to solve social issues.
Recently, I was admitted into one of the most competitive Masters in Urban Spatial Analytics program at the University of Pennsylvania. With this program, I will use spatial analytics, data science, machine learning and other techniques to address some of the most pressing social issues today. I received the highest scholarship from the program which covers more than half of the tuition. However, I still must raise additional funds of $18,000 to pay for tuition for the entire program.
I have reached out to dozens of organizations for grants and applied for numerous outside scholarships. Moreover, it’s almost impossible for international students to get traditional student loans.
How you can help:
1. Point me towards any grants, scholarships, organizations or resources that you think an international student can apply to for tuition purposes
2. Connect with me any individuals who might know about any scholarships
