SAVE THE GRANGE PLAYHOUSE

£840 of £20,000 goal

Raised by 30 people in 8 months
The Grange Playhouse is the home of the Grange Players, a non-profit-making organisation registered as a charity. Since our formation in 1951 it has been the company’s aim to encourage the local community’s interest in drama and the theatre through productions that have entertained and stimulated our audiences.

The Playhouse is a place which has been at the heart of Walsall for many years and has included generations of the same family on stage and being involved in the theatre.

We also feel that we fulfil a social function both for our members and those who come to see our performances. For several years, the Grange Playhousehas also been the principal venue of the Fellowship Players who hire the theatre to present several plays each season.

The Grange Playhouse is currently closed for essential maintenance. Unfortunately, having conducted a risk assessment we were told of  some severe issues. There is essential work required and we can’t progress and open to our public for plays until this essential work is complete. We have had quotes for all this essential work and it is going to cost a significant amount of money, regrettably this is money that The Grange Players Ltd don’t have. So we have turned to patrons far and wide to help along with lots of fundraising ideas. We hope that many can help us by donating a small amount to help us get this estabilshed venue back up and running quickly. Work has already started and of the £60,000.00 it originally required we have a good chunck already behind us thanks to the fantasitc support of The Fellowship Players and all our generous patrons and members. Please visit Our Website for various events and more information.
