Grandview Elementary's Snoezelen
Our ambitious project idea is to create a multi-sensory environment (also known as a Snoezelen room) for students to utilize within the school. This specifically designed room will provide a relaxing space for students with a variety of special needs through the use of calming music, lighting effects, gentle vibrations, tactile sensations and aromatherapy. The idea of fundraising for a Snoezelen room at Grandview Public school was initiated by Autism classroom teacher Katherine Trinder and enthusiasically supported by principal Richard Leadbetter. The room will be developed by Flag House and will cost $30,000 to complete. Other fundraising efforts will take place throughout the year, until we reach our goal. Any donation is greatly appreciated! To find out more information about the benefits of Snoezelen, please visit: https://www.snoezelen.info/
Thanks in advance for supporting our school community and encouraging healthy minds!
