Hurricane Relief for Grand Anse

Given my family is from the Grand Anse region, earlier today we traveled there to see for ourselves. I wish there were words to adequately describe the pain and suffering I have witnessed throughout this past week.
Mezanmi mwen pa gen bouch pou mwen pale! Moun yo ap mouri grangou, yo nan soley, yo swaf, yo pa gen kote pou yo domi. Ville lan disparet ( I have no words! People are dying of hunger and thirst, stranded out in the sun without shelter)
In response to the devastation of Hurricane Mathew we are small group of families from the Grand Anse area , standing with our community. The purpose of this campaign is to collect funds to provide immediate needs to the community of Beaumont, Gomier, Jeremie...- remote communities along southern coast of Haiti -severely hit by Hurricane Matthew.
Our goal is to collect funds to provide food, water, purification tablets to the families in immediate need. We hope to support local vendors who are still operating by purchasing goods locally.
It will take approximately $1000 HTG or 15 USD to provide a kit with food ( ex: grains, beans, spices, oil, smoked herring, etc) and supplies ( toiletries) per family. With $10,000 USD we are aiming to provide food and supplies kits to 600+ families within the Grand Anse region.
