Grace's CRPS 500 Minute Run

Donation protected
My 14 year old daughter, Grace, has Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. She was an avid runner and very healthy teen. Her ankle was broken during a track meet and as a result the nerve condition kicked in and has caused her to be unable to even walk on or touch her foot or lower leg due to non stop extreme pain. There is no known cure for this syndrome. The slightest touch feels like knives and pins going into her. We have tried numerous approaches for over 6 months and found no relief. The medicines have many side effects and can become addictive for some. Some people with CRPS have symptoms for their entire lives and many have tried the normal treatments for years with little relief or change in the activity level they can do.

There is a new treatment (approach) that has had much success for people living with CRPS but it is in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Neurologic Relief Center (http://seeingyouwell.com) and has a waiting list and is not covered by insurance. It is very expensive and requires nearly daily treatments and appointments for 10-12 weeks. But the people that have undergone this treatment have went from not being able to walk for over 20 years to being able to run again. Many of the patients of this say they only wish they would have done this sooner.

Grace's foot is in dystrophy and she hasn't moved it since March. Her favorite thing to do is to run. (And she is really good at it) We want her to be able to run again. (And to lead a pain free life) We have spent thousands of dollars already on travel and care for her with multiple trips to Duluth to see Specialists and insurance costs. Now the best treatment option isn't covered by insurance so we will be spending $20,000 more on her care. Lynn and Grace will have to move to Arkansas for three months starting late October and take time from work and travel and living costs along with the (not covered by insurance) treatment and care.

I am running 500 minutes to raise awareness and funds to help pay for my daughter's care for CRPS. Can you donate $1 per mile? Even fifty cents per mile can go a long way! I will be running on Sunday, September 17 from my house around the 2.5 mile loop 20 times in 500 minutes! I hate to ask for help, but I need it!
