GRACE CLOSET Food & Clothing Pantry

Grace Closet is a ministry developed by Grace Bible Fellowship of Antioch Church to help families & individuals in East Contra Costa that are experiencing (Genuine Financial) needs. Grace Closet founded in 2005 by Pastor Kirkland and 1st Lady Qwivander Smith.

Grace Closet serves as a place where men, women & children can receive Food, Clothing, Encouragement, Prayer and much more at NO COST. Many families and individuals come to the “Closet” weekly for food and clothes. They are without employment or significant income who depend on government assistance, and community outreach programs to help them in their areas of lack.

Here at Grace Closet all people will be greeted and served by friendly volunteers, which is there to meet “the needs of God’s people” who are in transition.

Charity Cause

On Monday, September 11, 2017, Grace Closet was effective by a fire that took place at 3109 Lone Tree Way that morning causing us to close our doors at that location. However, we are not shut down, but we're not able to serve in the capacity as we were before the incident.

We are now serving grocery bags of food only out the kitchen at our home Church. We are limited in space and storage, and not able to operate as a full-service food and clothing pantry. At this time we are not able to give away clothes and shoes that are needed by those in need.

It is our prayer and goal to raise the money needed to purchase our own portable modular to house Grace Closet. As we are blessed to have the land to build Grace Closet new home on, we just need to be able to purchase a portable modular that is suitable and large enough to store and serve food while allowing the people to come in and shop for clothing, needed necessities, and other services.

Donations

Donations toward our goal of owning and operating Grace Closet new home would be so helpful and grateful. Anyone donating any amount is a blessing to helping us open the doors of Grace Closet new home.

Who Benefits

Citizens and people of Antioch and our surrounding cities such as Pittsburg, Oakley, and Brentwood, etc. Everyone who is struggling financially, receiving government assistant of any kind, homeless - living with others or on the streets, families, individuals, children, adults, and seniors regardless of race, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, etc.

Goal

To raise $50,000 by the New Year. We like to be able to start back serving in full capacity in January 2018. Donations are going toward purchasing a portable modular and replacing items lost due to the fire: smoke and water damage. Raising funds ASAP is crucial for the people who we serve weekly. The need for FREE food and clothing is growing.

I Kibibi Columbus, Grace Closet Director is working alongside with Kirkland A. Smith, Senior Pastor and Tamesha Daniels, Grace Closet Ministry Leader to assure the efforts of Grace Closet success.
