Your already probably aware of my brothers assault but if not this is what happened.
On Tuesday 23rd October around 1.30pm in the afternoon my brother was riding to work on his bike near the home guard club in Failsworth (Oldham)
He usually goes over the bridge but it was busy with cars so he decided to go under, all he remembers was riding along with someone walking towards him where he slowed down to a stop.
He felt something really heavy hit him from either behind or side of the face, then the next thing he remembers is being dragged out the canal (he’d been knocked unconscious and fallen into the canal).
Thank god for the passer by who pulled him out but didn’t stay with him to call an ambulance so we’re not sure what happened there, hopefully someone will come forward or we will get it from the local CCTV’s.
As you can see from the pictures his teeth have been completely knocked out, he has a big cut under his eye, broken glasses, bruises and cuts
My brother is a single parent and has an 8 year old daughter who he’s sees every weekend and also after school when he’s on the shift that allows him to do that.
He will now have to have weeks if not months off work with his facial injuries & psychological injuries too. He has rent and bills to pay, be able to look after his daughter and hopefully some new teeth too as these were completely knocked out in the attack.
My brother is the funniest, most loving family man, life and soul of the party and he’s had a tough few years, this is another set back in his life.
I would love to help him to have a few stress free weeks or months to enable him to get well properly and not forcing himself to go back to work sooner than he needs to.
Anything you can help with will be extremely appreciated, I hope we can all join together as we did sharing this post originally to help my brother Danny to recover properly.
