Gotham Nel's colic bill

My horse Nel was found prone in her stall Thursday morning.  Vet was called, but she could not conclusively determine what was going on, and recommended transporting her to the vet school.  I readily agreed, especially as I had maintained SmartPak ColiCare insurance on her ever since I have had her.  Yesterday I found out that ColiCare only covers colics that need surgery. Nel's colic is so far a case for medical management, unfortunately and shockingly not covered. Nel had her colon hanging over her spleen, with a soft impaction in her large intestine.  The treatment involves meds to shrink her spleen, coupled with liters of fluid being pumped into her stomach after which she is lunged at the trot and canter for 20 minutes.  Hopefully this will allow the colon to go back where it belongs.  ColiCare covers none of this, and she may be there two more days! After her colon moves back, she still has to eat at the Vet School without re-colicking.

Nel is my heart horse, I had hoped to grow old with her, and to have her be my forever horse.  She is the sweetest, kindest, safest horse, my perfect match.  I would be devastated if anything happened to her. 

Funds from this will be used to cover her vet bills at NC State. That said, please, please only donate to this if you can easily do so, with no strain to you.  I will figure out a way to cover this one way or another, it is just that funds are needed by her discharge, and I am financially embarrassed not to have them.  I am looking into Care Credit as well, don't know if I will qualify.
