Goodsell Family

The Rockton community lost a sweet little girl, Sunday, January 29.  Arra was a bubbly, bright and busy 2nd grader.  She was either singing, drawing pictures, or doing both!   Being taken away from her family and friends so quickly has left many questions and expenses.  Her illness came on rapidly, leaving many in disbelief. Arra was a fighter, she was diagnosed with strep throat on Sunday, January 22.  Arra stayed home Monday but went to school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday morning she was not feeling well and running a low fever so she stayed home from school.  Arra’s pediatrician advised her parents to give her ibuprofen and come in for a check up on Saturday morning.  After her physical examination, her pediatrician recommended she be taken to the emergency room for further testing.  At the ER, blood tests indicated the all but certain diagnosis of Leukemia.  Arra was taken by ambulance to Madison.  Arra was not doing well by the time she arrived. They were able to begin chemotherapy as well as diagnose her specifically with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  Arra fought for her life throughout the night and into the morning.  Sadly, her little body could not continue any longer and she passed in her parent’s arms shortly after 10:00 a.m.  

This memorial fund is going directly to the Goodsell family to help pay for the unexpected funeral costs and other financial challenges the family may face during this time.  Please consider helping out this incredibly strong and wonderful family. 

Arra will always be remembered for her smile, laughter and love.  She could light up any room and make your day with just a hug.
