Brooklin Merchants Prezzy Run 2016

Hello my name is Linda Hurren I help run game day operations for the Brooklin Merchants Senior B Lacrosse team we play out of the historic Luther Vipond Arena in Brooklin. Our team staff is made up of volenteers and our season is funded by our gate revenue, our generous sponsors and our fundraising efforts. This year I am excited to be a part of the Ontario Championship winning team. We finished first in Ontario 2016 Regular season and upset the 2015 National Champions The six nations Riverman in the Ontario Final. My family has volenteered with this team since 2001. The last time the team won an Ontario Championship was in 2000. So to say I am super excited for these young men is an understatement. Winning this honor when the National championship is in Ontario is exciting! Winning this year with the Championship in St Albert Alberta is daunting! With travel, accomodations and food we will be looking at approx $40,000 in expenses. I personally wont be able to attend this epic event but it would be amaizing for me if I could help make sure all the players and bench staff can go and leave the money worries behind.  Since as a team it was only official yesterday that we would be the team to go we have an extreamly tight deadline First game Aug 28th.
