Glenferrie Lions Blind Cricket Club

Donation protected
The mighty Lions are one club of four in the Victorian Blind Cricket Association (VBCA). The game of blind cricket is a version of the game which has been adapted so that it can be played by blind and partially sighted players. The pitch is made of concrete and measures the same length and width as used in sighted cricket. The boundaries are measured 40 metres in a circle around the pitch and indicated by a white line with orange witches hats at intervals. All matches are held at the Vision Australia grounds in Kooyong Melbourne.

What we need the $500 for

Our club is in desperate need for two more bats. Most of our 11 registered players use our club equipment as the majority of our membership are not employed and live on the blind pension. We have a number of players who have duel disabilities and their Saturdays playing cricket is the only social and sporting activity they are involved in all year. We pride ourselves as a club who welcome and encourage all blind and vision impaired people to come and try our game out, no matter their age, sex, ability or disability.

Any donations would be greatly accepted . Please note every dollar raised will be going towards our two new bats. If you have any questions please feel free to call Shaun (club secretary ) on 0434 742 971.

For any donations over $200 we can add your business logo to our off-field polo shirts sleeve for this upcoming season.
