Tens of thousands of students from around the world have competed over the past several months in local, regional and state competitions in the largest creative problem-solving program in the world – Odyssey of the Mind.
For the first time in El Dorado County history, the 5th grade class from Gold Trail Elementary won the State competition for their division. The kids now have the opportunity to compete amongst 850 teams from around the world in the 39th World Finals being hosted by Iowa State University.
To compete, the Gold Trail Team must raise, in part, $9,676.00 to represent Gold Trail School, El Dorado County, and the State of California. If the students are unable to raise the required funds they will be unable to compete.
