Nashville Flyers "Goals for Alexis"

My name is Ace Hogg and I'm happy you are visiting this page! "Goals for Alexis" is a project I started because I wanted to do something exciting and help someone in need. While my family and I were searching for the right person to help, Alexis Szymczak's story popped up on my dad's Facebook page. We read about how Alexis was recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, and how she would need lots of treatment over the next year. It was obvious we had found the perfect opportunity to step up and help a family in a way they would never expect!

Here's how "Goals for Alexis" works:

We are obviously very appreciative of any one-time donations that you might want to make but I'd like to have a little fun with how we meet our goal! I'm asking for you to make a pledge to donate ANY amount of money you can to the Szymczak family for every goal my Nashville Flyers hockey team scores this season. In other words, if you pledge $1 per goal and we score 25 goals in September, you would come back to this page and donate $25. Then you would repeat that process each month. We will post regular updates so you know exactly how many goals we're scoring! In case you're wondering, we will play 40-50 games between September and March and will likely average 3-4 goals a game. That means our goal total will probably end up somewhere between 120-200.

I don't know much about fighting cancer but I do know how to work together with my teammates to help them win. I think, with your help, we can help Alexis win too! With enough financial support, the Szymczak family can stop worrying about fighting cancer with their wallet and focus on fighting along side Alexis! Please help me help this family. I think it's the right thing for us to do.
