GNMF 2019 Fundraising Campaign

The Ghana National Music Festival was created to fulfill two major needs: the promotion of artistic development in Ghana's youth and the cultivation of international relations between American and Ghanaian music students and educators. Ghana and the USA enjoy a young but fruitful relationship politically, militarily, and economically but lack any significant artistic collaboration. The GNMF seeks to solve this issue by not only being Ghana’s first classical music festival but also by being the first long-term collaborative effort between these two countries in the field of classical music.

The Ghana National Music Festival is raising money to support our 2019 edition of the festival. The festival will take place from July 22-27, 2019 at the University of Ghana, Legon.  Each day will be filled with masterclasses, private lessons, lectures, and several performances. Students who attend the festival will also have the opportunity to take part in our newest initiative, a festival gala. The festival gala will include a performance by the Ghana National Sympohony and Ghana National Music Festival student participants in  Antonio Vivaldi’s Guitar Concerto in D major, RV 93 featuring Jordan Taylor.
