Campaign for Renovation and Scholarship Assistance
Green Mountain Performing Arts has launched a campaign to increase our scholarship fund and to renovate the studios at 37 Commercial Avenue.
The studio renovation will include installing new flooring, paint, and much-needed furnishings as well as add shelving and dance themed art.
Our total goal is $7,500.00. We offer some wonderful incentives for giving from gift certificates for private and group classes, to complimentary tickets to our recitals, to GMPA dance gear, to a performance of a choreographic work in your home for a special event.
The Taber Merchant Scholarship Fund has allowed dozens of students to take advantage of our programs since the spring of 2011 when we lost one of our bright, shining stars - Taber Merchant. Taber was 11 years old and loved performing arts - dancing, singing, acting and being on stage. About half of the funds raised will be allocated to the scholarship fund to allow us to continue to encourage all families interested in the performing arts to enroll in our programs.
Help us to make this a reality. We understand that our environment is part of what helps us make a lasting and dynamic impression on those we love and mentor, and that there are many who want to come to class but have limited resources. Green Mountain Performing Arts, Inc. (GMPA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) educational and charitable organization. Our mission is to enhance community cultural vitality by providing students with outstanding dance, theatre and music education in a creative and supportive environment.
At GMPA, we provide equal access to all students. We welcome children with special needs and give tuition assistance to all students in need of financial support. We offer a diverse range of classes for all ages and abilities with highly qualified, caring instructors. Our focus is on enjoyment as well as on education—we believe that students who have the opportunity to experience the performing arts in a joyful and creative way will make them a part of their lives forever.
