Global One to One is an educational nonprofit dedicated to cultivating cross-cultural understanding and communication between students across the globe. Through our unique one to one format, global connections and communication are strengthened, creating a network of students and educators who appreciate the importance of diversity and acceptance of differences on a global level.
Students in classrooms and school clubs at the middle school, high school and collegiate levels can participate in one of our three programs. Participants develop skills in effective intercultural communication, critical thinking and problem solving, as well as collaboration--skills essential to success in the global economy, workplace and international politics.
On April 15, 2017, high school student from around the Albuquerque area are invited to participate in this active gathering where we will learn about issues affecting immigrants and refugees in our community, shar and listen to each other's stories and plan positive action steps to make our community one that is welcoming and supportive to all.
With the current pressing issues facing the refugee and immigrant community, it is more important than ever to prepare students, our future leaders, to understand the issues and how to take action steps. We hope to be able to make this a bi-annual event to maintain momentum and need your support to do so. Your donations will be used directly to organized these events.
