Viva La Art House

Zoetropolis  is Lancaster's only independent movie theater! We pride ourselves in bringing beautiful, thought provoking and artistic films to the community. Our love for film and the arts fuels our drive to keep Zoetropolis alive and thriving. We've added yoga, open mic nights, music performances, comedy performances, art shows and local film maker events to our programming as a way to broaden the exposure of arts to our city and appeal to a wide variety of people. We've worked incredibly hard to diversify programming, market our ideas and promote our theater to the community with dismal returns. In short, although so many people tell us they love our theater, time after time our shows have less than 5 people in the audience, sometimes none.  As a business with rent overhead, utilities and payroll, it's no lie when we say that Zoetropolis is in real trouble. Currently Zoetropolis Art house is asking for your help in raising money to cover taxes and rent. We remain hopeful that our new ideas and continued dedication will pay off but without support from the community that we exist to serve, the theatre's time is severely limited. These funds are required by February 1st and the entire reason for our plea is the urgent deadline. Your contribution would allow us to get caught up and keep independent film alive in Lancaster. This means so much to us as we love our theater like a family member. Please understand that it is with intense humility that we ask for your help now. None of the owners of Zoetropolis have ever collected one dime of payment for working tireless hours to support their art endevors. Every cent donated will go directly to keeping Zoetropolis open. #ourtailsbetweenourlegs. We really hate to ask but we'd hate to close more.
