why not give something back this year?
Its a scary world we live in, today I met a 75 year old widow who does a huge amount of charity work for the local area of Cheltenham. She has given so much to the community over the years, I think its fair we give something back!
On the 4th of December this lovely lady (remaining anonymous) was scammed out of handing over £2,400 of her remaining savings to a group of highly dangerous criminals posing as Hammersmith Police. This woman was manipulated into believing she had to do this, they used clever wording, false alias’s and also advised her that she should not contact anyone about this until the money had changed hands. The police have been great in making sure that the individual is ok, although she is extremely shaken by the situation, she will not be beaten! The bank also was helpful, however they cannot return the funds as they were withdrawn in cash, as she was advised to do by the criminals.
This is a call to action for the people of Cheltenham, if its 5p or £50, please give what you can to help get this selfless, caring and wonderful woman’s life back on track!
