Give Norfolk Badgers A Brake

Donation protected
Sadly most people's only experience of seeing a badger in real life is dead at the side of the road.  In 2017 alone Norfolk Badger Trust have recorded over 100 badgers killed on Norfolk roads, with many more going unrecorded.  Badgers find it difficult to adapt to roads, and where they intersect centuries old trails that badgers stubbornly follow, casualties and fatalities inevitably occur.

Our current campaign for badger road signs to be installed around road kill hotspots in Norfolk is going brilliantly, with three meetings with parish councils so far resulting in all three parishes already pledging their support.

Now what we desperately need is help raising the funds for the installation and upkeep of these signs, which will improve the safety of our roads for badgers, other wildlife, and just as importantly, humans.

Have you ever swerved or seen someone swerve to miss an animal in the road?  In 2016 there were 900 road accidents in the UK where an animal in the road was part of the cause.   176 of these were serious and a further 12 involved human fatalities.

Please help us achieve our goal of saving badgers, other wildlife and people from being needlessly killed or injured on Norfolk roads.  Any amount that you can spare is so appreciated.  The kindness of strangers allows organisations like ours to exist and do the work that we do.
